警长探索者职位 – Established in the 1960s and chartered under the Boy Scouts of America and the Learning for Life program, the Explorer program serves and mentors male and female youth between the 年龄s of 14-21. Youth are trained by sworn law enforcement officers in the various areas to include: traffic stops, 犯罪现场, 枪支, 活跃的射手, 公众演讲, 领导力培训, 社区服务及其他. 运用他们所学到的知识, 探险家 have opportunities to compete against other Explorer Posts at the regional, 状态, 国家层面.
The 利昂县警长’s Office Explorer Post is an award-winning group of young leaders. In addition to training and competing in various Explorer events, this group of youth is dedicated to serving our community through various service projects. They are youth ambassadors for the Sheriff’s Office who represent the 年龄ncy through the honor guard, various charitable and community eng年龄ments, 在训练场景中.
When eligible to do so, many 探险家 pursue careers in law enforcement.
To be eligible for the LCSO 探险家 Post, youth must:
- Be between the 年龄s of 14 and 21 years old and have completed the eighth grade,

- Be of good moral character and integrity, and
- Be willing to volunteer for community events.
